Please bear with me as I’m not a real programmer, I just like to play pretend.
I’ve made a couple handfuls of Python scripts for various purposes and have thought a few times that it would be great to be able to share these scripts in a way that a single load or drag and drop would generate a macro button that was ready to use and an alias if desired. I have incorporated alias generation into scripts before but have not made an attempt at a macro button yet as I assume the python script would have to generate a new .rui file. I have created a system utilizing JavaScript through Apps Script that automates generation of .rui files from a google sheet so the idea of creating .rui files is not too scary, but I have not attempted to incorporate any custom images into those. I’m sure I can hack my way through it but thought I would lean on the masses first and see if anyone had any advice on an easier or cleaner way of doing this.
